Pastoral Services

Catholic Women's League (C.W.L.)
This national organization of Catholic women is mandated to serve God and Canada in a variety of ways.
DeoWeb Team
This group is responsible for updating and maintaining content on the St. Alexander Deoweb site.
Food for the Needy
This ministry provides canned foods and holiday foods for persons needing social assistance.
Funeral Luncheons
Edna Tuttle works with C.W.L. volunteers who prepare and serve a luncheon in the fellowship room for the families in the parish who have lost a loved one.
Knights of Columbus (K of C)
This fraternal organization is dedicated to fostering Catholic values, family life, a fraternal spirit, and to serving the needs of the church and the world.
Liturgical Ministries
The ministries of altar serving, children's liturgy, eucharistic ministry, sacristans, ushers, art and environment, ministry of the word, music and choir, and welcoming are the ministries our church offers.
Liturgy Committee
This committee plans the major liturgical events which will take place at the Church during the year.
Ministry of Caring
This ministry involves home visitation of shut-ins and the weekly distribution of holy communion.
Music Ministry
This ministry involves leading the congregation in praise and worship through song.
Parish Pastoral Council
this consultative council meets on a regular basis with the pastor to assist in planning and implementing pastoral initiatives of the church.
Pastoral Leadership Team
This group, made up of the pastor, deacons, dos, and parish secretary meet on a quarterly basis to discuss pastoral problems and upcoming parish events.
Prayer Line
Persons in this ministry pray for the requested needs of any individual or group.
R.C.I.A.
This group is made up of persons who teach and journey with the parish's catechumens and candidates for full reception into the church.
Scripture Study
This group meets in the fall and in the spring to explore more deeply a chosen book or letter of the Bible.
Social Justice
This group promotes the Development and Peace theme of the year and raises consciousness of social justice issues.
Youth Ministry
The CORE team as it is called conducts retreats for grades 2 through 8 during the school year and facilitates Christian faith development for our youth.
