Pastor's Point To Ponder
The passion of Jesus Christ. Perhaps after Mel Gibson’s movie last year, each of us will look at the passion in a new way, try to understand the great sacrifice of Jesus for our salvation and endure the sufferings and trials we have been given in life a little more willingly. Perhaps when we read the passion account this year, we can try to overcome obstacles that keep us from accepting the love of God in our lives. Though it isn’t easy to hear of the suffering and death of our Lord, it is necessary to confront the reality of death, so that the reality of resurrection will stand out in stark relief. Without the cross, there can be no new life, no salvation, no victory over sin and death, no Easter. Some points to ponder as this Holy Week begins.
